Departure from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk by train No. 43 “Prykarpattia”.

Safety briefing and floating craft rules of conduct. Preparation of floating craft to rafting. Trying-on and dressing the required equipment: helmets, life jackets, dry suits.

Start of rafting along Cheremosh mountain river on Gumotex rafts (route: Ust-Putyla village – Vyzhnytsya village).

The route is started at the confluence of the mountain rivers, namely, White and Black Cheremosh. The section, along which the rafting is made, is approx. 32 km long. In this place the river flows in a narrow deep mountain valley with steep, forested banks. The river is winding in its course; in some places it is divided into several branches. The thresholds, which can be found, are a random accumulation of boulder stones. Dinner (lunch box).

Sokilsky threshold is located near the famous “Tyudov wall”, the monument to Shevchenko. The river here makes a sharp right turn. Gamovanka threshold is located on the right branch of the river (Rivnya village) and is a drain with a drop of up to 3 meters. On the bank there is an accumulation of boulders on both sides.

Departure by comfortable minibuses “Merсedes Sprinter” to Yasinya village, Zakarpattia region.

Arrival. Yasinya village. Group transfers into off-road vehicles “GAZ-66” (these vehicles are driven by experienced drivers who carry out the regular winter transportation on the route of Yasinya village — SR “Dragobrat”).

Departure by off-road vehicles “GAZ-66” (local Hummer !!!) on the route: Yasinya village — Dragobrat stow — root of mt. Stig (1705 m above sea level) — Gereshaska high-altitude lake (1577 m above sea level). The group is accompanied by the tourist guides-local studies experts.

INTERESTING WHILE TRAVELLING

When moving, the stops in Dragobrat stow are carried out (active ski resort at an altitude of 1400 m above sea level) and at the peak of mt. Stig (view of Svydovets ridge, which is located south-eastwards of the high-altitude part of the Ukrainian Carpathians and is considered the center of Europe) Photographing of high-altitude lakes Apshinets (+1487 m above sea level) and Vorozheska (1450 m above sea level, of round shape with a diameter of 95 m, area 0.7 ha, depth up to 4.5 m).

Arrival. Rest and informative stories by a local studies expert on the bank of Gereshaska high-altitude lake (Reference data: Gereshaska lake (alternative names — Vyshne-Gereshaska, Dogyaska) of glacial origin. Mt. Dogyaska (1764 m) of Svydovets range is located on the south-western slope at an altitude of 1 577 m above sea level. It has length 125 m, width 110 m, area 1.2 ha, depth up to 1.2 m. It feeds mainly on snow waters.

Departure by off-road vehicles “GAZ-66” to “Bukovinka” polonine.

Arrival. Dinner (picnic) in the open air. Treating with local Transcarpathian cuisine.
