Arrival. Visit to the chapel on the territory of educational and sports base “Zaroslyak”.

Organized start of ascent of mt. Hoverla. During the ascent, the group is accompanied by the members of the state mountain search-and-rescue detachment, who are provided with first-aid kits, base radio-stations as well as have a “beautiful humour”. Interesting while travelling: The forest is beginning to thin when climbing up. Such forests are characterized by a significant windbreak resistance. The view of a large polonine, where Prut river takes its rise in, can be seen on the left. Alpine meadows begin at a height of 1800 m above sea level.
