Shchivka polonine
Shchivka polonine is a part of Gorgany mountain range. It is located in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The polonine is 700 m long as the average. A small slope protects it from cold winds. It is hot in summer and it is not very cold in winter. The snow lies up to the middle of April. Shchivka polonine is under protection of coniferous forests. The fabulous views of Gorgany mountain ridges can be seen from here. In the polonine, the inhabitants of surrounding villages graze their livestock. From spring until late autumn, the sheep run here, which are more looking like white woolly clouds
mt. Sinyachka
mt. Sinyachka (1400 m) belongs to Gorgany mountain range in the Carpathians. It is a beautiful hollow mountain peak. The mountain landscapes can be seen with the peak climbing. There are oil wells on the west side of the Lazok polonine, the oil-production equipment can be seen there. At the top of mt. Sinyachka, a view of the south-eastern part of Gorgany can be seen: mt. Homyak, mt. Sinyak, mt. Dovbushanka.
